Plain Yogurt

Allergen: dairy

Plain Yogurt contains a common allergen (dairy). Current guidelines recommend introducing allergens early (from 6 months) as this may reduce allergy risk. Introduce on its own, offer a small amount first, and wait 2-3 days before introducing another new allergen. Watch for signs of allergic reaction: hives, swelling, vomiting, or difficulty breathing. Consult your pediatrician if your baby is at high risk for allergies.

How to Prepare

Choose full-fat, plain (unsweetened) yogurt. Serve pre-loaded on a spoon or as a dip for fruit. Greek yogurt is thicker and easier to manage. Avoid flavored/sweetened varieties.

Nutritional Highlights

Excellent source of calcium, protein, and probiotics for gut health. Full-fat dairy is important for brain development in the first 2 years.
