White Fish

6+ moProteinsContains fish

Allergen: fish

White Fish contains a common allergen (fish). Current guidelines recommend introducing allergens early (from 6 months) as this may reduce allergy risk. Introduce on its own, offer a small amount first, and wait 2-3 days before introducing another new allergen. Watch for signs of allergic reaction: hives, swelling, vomiting, or difficulty breathing. Consult your pediatrician if your baby is at high risk for allergies.

How to Prepare

Bake or steam cod, haddock, or tilapia until flaky. Check very carefully for bones. Offer in large flakes. Mild flavor is usually well-accepted.

Nutritional Highlights

Lean protein source with iodine and selenium. Lower in mercury than larger fish. Good introduction to seafood.
