Salmon contains a common allergen (fish). Current guidelines recommend introducing allergens early (from 6 months) as this may reduce allergy risk. Introduce on its own, offer a small amount first, and wait 2-3 days before introducing another new allergen. Watch for signs of allergic reaction: hives, swelling, vomiting, or difficulty breathing. Consult your pediatrician if your baby is at high risk for allergies.
How to Prepare
Bake or steam and flake into large pieces, checking carefully for bones. Can be formed into patties. Wild-caught preferred. Aim for 1-2 servings per week.
